Any matter which impacts on the social well-being of the Borough of Basingstoke & Deane, its inhabitants or environs including the service areas, topics and policies covered by the Economic & Educational Development and Sport & Leisure Portfolios.

International Forum
2.1 New international partnerships complementing our existing twinning links are explored to respond more efficiently to the current objectives for the borough.
2.2 The Twinning Panel is replaced by an International Forum which would include relevant representatives from the voluntary, educational, business and cultural sectors.
2.3 The Civic function is re-focused so that civic links generate tangible benefits and outcomes for this authority by offering development and learning opportunities for those involved.

Considers Licensing, Registration and Health and Safety at Work matters.

To determine Licensing appeals.
Overview Management Board
It is the role of the Overview Management Board to consider:
•Proposed work programmes of the Overview Committees (and any Single Issue Panels).
•Links to the programme of work for the Scrutiny Committee.
•Links to the Council Three Year Plan and Forward Plan processes.
•Opportunities for joint work.
•Integrated responses to cross cutting challenges facing the Council.
•Involvement of partner organisations (via Single Issue Panels).
•Maximising benefits of the outcomes of Overview and Scrutiny across the organisation.
•Communication and promotion of the overview and scrutiny process.

Tadley Pool Management
Tree Shading Single Issue Panel
To provide a mechanism to enable decisions made by officers (over a request to deal with a shading issue) to either be confirmed or amended by the Panel.
