Life of this Councillor

My life is an extremely busy but enjoyable one. You may read more about my work as a councillor by going to My Committee and other Councillor Work........

I try to attend as many events in the ward as possible as this gives me more opportunities to meet with residents socially.

Along with my fellow ward Councillor, John Shaw, I participate in liaison meetings at BCOT along with representatives from the college and the Brookvale Community Association.

Due to a deteriorating knee joint I do not get to walk around the ward as much as I used to but should you want to see me about anything please do not hesitate to contact me (see my home page for full details) and I will arrange a suitable day and time to visit you.

As well as my Councillor duties, I work fulltime as a project worker at a residential hostel for the homeless located in the Ward. The support provided assists many vulnerable people of all ages to address their problems with the express purpose of helping them to gain more independence. This work can be stressful for all concerned at times but very rewarding when witnessing people regaining their confidence and moving on to independent accommodation.
