As a result of the recent elections the Conservatives have regained control of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council after eleven years. It is as yet unclear what effect this will have on the future direction of the Council, as they have yet to produce a forward plan, manifesto etc. However from what I have been able to gather from their public pronouncements their priorities are:
