A bit about me

I was born during a German air raid at Highbury Islington London in 1941.I grew up, lived, and worked in London until I wanted to get married. I found it very difficult to find a decent place to live in London and so I moved to Basingstoke Hampshire to a small house with a garden and a garage.

I have worked in one of the higher education colleges in the town for the past 26, years as a resouces technician.

In London I worked in hospitals as a pathology technician and also in a government laboratory. I like people and enjoy the company of people. I have always tried to help people with any problems that they may have, and that is why I have found that being a councillor to be a very pleasing, interesting and rewarding job.I realize that helping people can be a very slow process, and wrongs connot be righted without a great deal of effort and co-operation from others. but if nothing is done to improve things then chaos, anarchy and crime can increase

I love the peace of the countryside but I also realize the need to provide a decent living space for young people, so that they can be given a basic chance to acheive their potential, and in this way help keep the future secure.

No one can predict just what potential exist whithin any individual be it male or female. Genius is found in all classes and races of people. There may be many people who could have developed their ideas, skills, and talents but because they were not given the best chance to do so through education or their background has lead them to be unfullfilled and therefore many important ideas, skills or inventions may have been lost.

I receive great pleasure when I reflect that many people selected me to represent them through the council, and I will endeavour to do my very best to fullfill my own potential to help the people that I represent.
