I have been a member of the Labour party since 1972 and I was elected as a councillor in 2000. I have lived in Basingstoke since coming here for my job in 1983. My wife and I are now visiting two of our daughters in Brighton Hill. Our other two children live in Kettering. We have 5 grandchildren. Before I retired early, I was a national trade union official for the GMB.
